Can Care2Bid visit me at the hospital?


Absolutely. We will come to any location that suites your needs.


Can Care2Bid accompany me as I tour communities?


Yes. We are available to accompany you while you tour communities and help answer any questions you may have.


Can I call or visit Care2Bid?


Absolutely. We can be reached at 480-246-3570. We can also meet you at any of our offices in Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert, Glendale, or Superior. If you prefer, we can go to your home free of charge.


How long has Care2Bid been in business?


Care2Bid is a service of PACE, Arizona's most trusted resource for those in search of senior housing and care since 1994.


What is Care2Bid's service area?


Care2Bid is currently only offered in Arizona. However, we will be adding more states in the near future.


Is Care2Bid a Referral or Placement Agency?


No. Care2Bid is not a Referral or Placement Agency. We receive no compensation by referring or placing individuals in assisted living communities or homes.


Is Care2Bid a free service?


Yes. Care2Bid is free to families and we are transparent in how we make money.


How does Care2Bid make money?


  1. Care2Bid charges Member communities and homes a nominal annual fee to participate in this unique and transparent marketplace
  2. The generous financial support of our corporate sponsors.


How is Care2Bid different than a Referral or Placement Agency?


Care2Bid services are different than Referral or Placement Agencies in that we DO NOT accept referral fees or commissions from Assisted Living communities or homes by referring individuals to them. At minimum, a Referral or Placement Agency should provide its clients with a disclaimer similar to this, "We are paid by our participating communities, therefore our service is offered at no charge to families." While this is generally accurate, it is important to note that the communities and homes are charged significant fees for this service. These fees often are correlated with what communities or homes charge you.

For example; ​
  • ​Your monthly cost is $2,000.....Their commission may be $1,750 - $2,500
  • ​Your monthly cost is $3,500.....Their commission may be $3,000 - $4,000​
  • ​Your monthly cost is $6,000.....Their commission may be $5,500 - $7,500


Why should I care how much a community or home pays in fees or commissions?


This is certainly a complicated matter. Contemplate the following:
  1. Will the community or home charge me more to offset these costs?
  2. What incentive does the Referral or Placement Agency have to help me save money?
  3. Will I be informed of all my housing and care options?


Is the Referral or Placement industry regulated?


Unfortunately, not in Arizona and most other States. However, we believe it should be.


Why am I required to complete a Needs Survey before I start to receive bids?


Assisted Living communities and homes provide much more than room and board. They also assist individuals with their Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) that may include bathing, feeding, toileting, dressing, grooming, oral care, walking/transferring and life enriching activities. The amount you will be charged depends in part on the amount of assistance you may require, today and over time. In addition, it is important to note that communities and homes vary in their licensing and how they are able to assist individuals.


How accurate or detailed do I need to be when completing the Needs Survey?


An incomplete or unreliable Needs Survey will only results in lost time as a community/home will likely not honor their bid should the information provided to them be different than reality.


Will my personal information be shared with others?


Absolutely not! We will never share with others your name, address, phone number, email or any other information that would enable others to determine your identity. We will however provide non-distinguishable health data so that communities and homes can adequately evaluate your needs and their ability to accommodate them.


Is Care2Bid secure and can I safely transmit my personal information?


Absolutely. Care2Bid is protected by 256 Bit SSL Encryption and is HIPPA Compliant. However, if you prefer you can also call us and provide your information to us over the phone.


Am I obligated to accept any of the bids that are offered?


No! You are under no obligation or pressure to choose any community or home, or even the lowest offer for that matter. In the end, you make the choice that is right for you.


After I complete my Needs Survey how long will it be before I start to receive bids?


In most instances you should expect to see bids within hours of your submission. However, in some circumstances it may take longer if there are complex health issues or due to availability.


What information will I be provided to help me make my decision?


Along with each bid you will be sent a detailed profile of the community/home that includes:
  • Amenities and services offered
  • Photos of the community
  • Customer reviews
  • Enforcement actions (if any) by the State
  • Most recent license survey results
  • Contact information including website, address, phone and fax
  • Name of community/home care coordinator


How long are bids good for?


Each bid is good for seven (7) days unless otherwise noted. However, they are subject to availability and changes in condition.


How are Care2Bid Member Communities and Homes selected?


Only communities and homes that agree by our Code of Conduct and Best Practices are permitted to become Members.

Are there other companies like Care2Bid?
